Our Story

Neil Whitney and David Barnett founded OURGLASS after re-evaluating their relationships with alcohol. We don't resent alcohol but share a mutual belief that a better alternative should exist—one that is calorie- and sugar-free, allowing us to enjoy a delightful drink, catch a light buzz, and wake up refreshed and ready to seize the day.

In early December 2022, Neil called David to share an idea about a THC alternative to alcohol. Neil reached out to a friend in the cannabis industry who introduced him to Jay, an innovator in hemp-based THC products. Within weeks, Jay and his team produced the prototype of OURGLASS. We had samples ready for friends and family, and we were in the market within one month. OURGLASS sold more than $20,000 in its first month, showing that it was the solution active lifestyle consumers were seeking as an alternative to wine and bourbon.

Our Vision

OURGLASS aims to introduce and dominate a new category of drinks available at the bar. On one side, customers can order a spirit-infused cocktail like a Bourbon Old Fashioned, and on the other, a non-alcoholic drink like a virgin daiquiri. Is OURGLASS made from marijuana?

No. We do not use marijana in OURGLASS.

Then what is OURGLASS made from?

How is OURGLASS different than edibles?

Edible cannabis products, like gummies or chocolate, usually have more THC, ranging from 5mg to 100mg per piece. It can take a while, from 45 minutes to a couple of hours, for them to start working. This happens because these edibles are typically oil-based, meaning the cannabinoids are absorbed directly into your bloodstream.

But drinks with OURGLASS are different. They use a special formula that mixes with water, so the THC gets absorbed in your mouth, tongue, and then in your stomach/digestive track. This means you can start feeling the effects pretty fast, in about 10 to 15 minutes. OURGLASS has a lower THC amount, just 2.5mg per serving. But if you're new to cannabis, you might feel it quickly and more strongly.
